The complex interactions in bushfire risk management

Marco DeSisto's PhD project is investigating the complex interactions present within bushfire risk management.  He aims to identify the nature of existing barriers between agencies through a mixed and multi-faceted method approach.

The significance of this research is to analyse the barriers to the sharing of knowledge between fire and land management agencies locally and internationally; to grasp their internal limitations in undertaking bushfire investigation; and endeavour to use all the information identified with the aim of creating a starting point to offer agencies a better understanding and assist them in the process of sharing their knowledge.
