This PhD project is aiming to evaluate social network analysis measures that effect coordination and to improve coordination behavior within and between organisations in crisis through exploring complex adaptive coordination behavior.
The objective of the study is to find out:
- How may the network structure of emergency management organisations be identified and evaluated?
- Which measures should be used for quantifying emergency management organisations’ network structures?
- Which measures should be used for quantifying coordination within and between emergency management organisations?
- How do emergency management organisations’ network structures affect coordination within and between organisations?
- How can emergency management organisations improve their coordination behavior in emergency management?
