Project
Management
The
CRC Fire – Environment and Society Funding project is
overseen by the AFAC Council of Management and Bushfire CRC Board,
a Steering Committee and a Project Working Group.
The
Steering Committee guides
and directs the development of the new CRC bid. The Committee
members are:

- Dr Ray Canterford (Bureau of
Meteorology)
- Dr David Robson

- Assistant Commissioner Steve
Rothwell (Queensland Fire and Rescue Service)

Working Group undertaking
the development of the new proposal consists of
- Dr Richard Thornton
(Bushfire CRC),
- Mr Ian Wilson (Bushfire
CRC)
- Mr Mike Leonard, (Bushfire
CRC) and
- Ms Aimee Haywood
(DSE).

Two
Advisory Groups are being established to assist in the bid
development and enhance communications between industry,
researchers and end-users.
The
Consultative Advisory
Group consists of a broader group of stakeholders who have
contributed to the new CRC Fire – Environment and Society
Funding Project.
The Specialist Advisory
Group consists of end-users and researchers who will advise
on the science program.
A Reference Group has been identified which consists of potential
new partners or organisations or individuals working in areas who
may be interested in the research outcomes of the new CRC.
The Bid Consultant provides advice to the Steering Committee on
aspects of the Business case as it develops.
