Around 70 managers from fire and land agencies attended a
Funding Bid workshop in preparation for the proposed CRC for Fire -
Environment and Society.
Following a meeting of AFAC senior managers earlier in the year
that defined the research program for the new CRC bid, the workshop
provided an opportunity to further refine the detail of the
program.
The group met at the Dallas Brooks Hall on 28 and 29 November
2007. A general session on the overall research agenda was followed
by small group discussions on the four main research themes -
vegetation, risk , interface and incident management.
