international network of long-term research sites in alpine
ecosystems used to study the impacts of climate change on
biodiversity, vegetation distribution and ecosystem
functioning.
Valles Caldera National
Preserve represents a unique experiment in public land
management. An 89,000-acre, historic ranch in the Jemez Mountains
in New Mexico, purchased by the United States Government, is being
managed using science-based adaptive management.
