Your event - your research

Bushfire CRC partners know that our annual joint conference with AFAC is the biggest single event on our calendar for promoting our research – this month in Sydney more than 1000 conference delegates will spend a week hearing about new developments.  But this is far from the only opportunity to get the research out there to a wider audience at events.

Most agency partners have their own conferences for their members, staff or volunteers. Bushfire CRC researchers are invited to speak at many of these events but there are many others where Bushfire CRC participation would add great value for delegates at the event.

So if you are organising a conference, seminar, workshop or public event for your organisation, consider tapping into the Bushfire CRC as a resource. This is an excellent way to internally promote your involvement in national bushfire research.

Our participation can take a range of levels. Apart from providing speakers, we can also supply a sample of Bushfire CRC research publications including reports, field guides, videos, and research briefing notes. If there is room, the Bushfire CRC could set up and staff a small display. It’s an ideal way for your people to learn more about how the research can make an impact to their daily work.
