Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open for two research projects:

These two research projects support the statewide stream and focus on resampling priority ecological fire groups (EFG), specifically Heathland Sands (desert) and Heathland Sands (general). This work will provide more insight into how fire affects ecosystem resilience over time and may help to start trend analysis in the future.

Heathland Sands (desert) ecological fire group return sampling

This project has been commissioned by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (Victoria).

This research aims to build our understanding of the effects of both bushfire and planned burning on ecosystem resilience in the Heathland Sands (desert) ecological fire group (EFG).

EOI proposals are due by 5:00pm AEST, 6 June 2025 to research@naturalhazards.com.au.

Find out more about this EOI, including how to submit and frequently asked questions on the project page.
