Dr Nouman Khattak has over 15 years of experience spanning academia and industry, specialising in the seismic assessment and strengthening of unreinforced masonry, reinforced concrete, and dams and appurtenant structures. His PhD research focused on the characterisation and seismic vulnerability of legacy unreinforced masonry buildings in Queensland, Australia. He is the joint winner of the inaugural National Hazard Research Australia Student Award in 2025.
