Project status

Proposed

This project aims to understand how the scale, intensity, and frequency of cumulative natural hazards affect roadside vegetation management and how this understanding can improve community resilience and response during incidents.

Project details

The project will evaluate how integrated vegetation management in road reserves and adjacent land affects bushfire impacts, as well as secondary hazards such as flooding, erosion, and landslips. The insights gained from this study will assist decision-makers in enhancing the planning and implementation of road reserve and bushfire management programs, thereby strengthening the resilience of both communities and transportation infrastructure.
