About
Arvin Hadlos is an architect and a humanitarian engineer working towards resilient housing and infrastructure systems. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture in the Philippines and gained three years of professional experience in the design and construction industry. In 2021, he began his PhD in the School of Civil Engineering at The University of Sydney under the Engineering Research Scholarship, where his research focused on rebuilding houses against the impacts of earthquakes and typhoons in resource-constrained communities. After completing his PhD in 2025, Arvin joined the School of Civil Engineering at The University of Queensland as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where he studies the impacts of natural hazards on interconnected infrastructure networks.
