About

Bradley Barton has over 40 years of experience in bushfire response, fire management, and safety with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) and its predecessors in Western Australia. He manages DBCA’s state fire facilities and logistics, chairs the PPE reference group, and represents Fire Management Services in Health, Safety, and Wellbeing. He leads safety investigations, guides regional fire programs, and contributes to aviation and SOP reviews. He has served as Regional and State Duty Officer, State Commander, and Level 3 Incident Controller.

He represents DBCA on AFAC’s PPE and Equipment Technical Groups. His expertise spans emergency response, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational coordination of DBCA’s fire management across Western Australia.
