Abstract

This document is a companion to the Emergency Management Sustainable Volunteering Blueprint Strategic Framework (The Strategic Framework) and has been designed to support activities associated with the Emergency Management Sustainable Volunteering Blueprint Interim Action Plan† (The Interim Action Plan).

Its aim is to provide a starting point for practitioners in connecting their organisational activities to the emergency management (EM) ecosystem and the different players and contexts it contains.

The EM volunteering sector is now at a crossroads. EM organisations must choose to innovate and transform to accommodate these systemic needs or face the prospect of greatly reduced capacity and capability.
