A/Prof Roslyn Prinsley is the Lead, Disaster Solutions in the ANU School of Engineering in the College of Systems and Society. She was previously Head, Disaster Solutions at the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy and Disaster Solutions. She provides academic leadership across disaster research at ANU. She recently led a transdisciplinary research initiative to develop national guidelines for Nature-based Solutions to Flooding (NEMA-funded).
Roslyn was previously Head, Strategic Research Initiatives, in the Office of the Vice Chancellor at the Australian National University, where she led interdisciplinary research programs, including development of the ANU-Optus Bushfire Research Centre of Excellence.
Roslyn was National Adviser for Science and Mathematics Education and Industry in the Office of the Chief Scientist, and also has an extensive career leading research in natural resource management. She has published over 110 books, articles and reports in the fields of photosynthesis, agroforestry, STEM, research strategy and disaster solutions.
