The Bushfire CRC governance and management structure consists of
a Stakeholder Council representing all partners. Partners that
annually contribute at least $100K have voting rights and the right
to nominate a Board member. Under the chairmanship of Mr Len
Foster AO, the Board governs the Bushfire CRC.
There are four committees that contribute to the Board; the
user's research committee, human resources committee, education
committee and compliance committee. The Chief Executive Officer of
the Bushfire CRC is Gary Morgan, who is assisted by the management
team at the Bushfire CRC headquarters in Melbourne.
There are five research programs within the Bushfire CRC,
all of which contain a wide range of projects. The programs involve
members of fire and land management organisations, universities,
Australian Federal Government agencies, and New Zealand forest
research agencies.
