NSW Rural Fire Service

The NSW Rural Fire Service has more than 70,000 volunteer members in 2100 brigades providing emergency services to over 95 percent of NSW.
As a founding partner in the Bushfire CRC, the NSW RFS has been heavily involved in the creation, development, and utilisation of many research projects.
Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons is a Director on the Board of the Bushfire CRC.
